OUR READ
Seventeen months later. The date held.
Rockstar dropped Trailer 2 in May 2025 with November 2026 still locked in — and that, before you watch a frame of it, is the most important thing in the trailer. Trailer 1 was Lucia’s introduction. Trailer 2 widens the lens on the world she’s stuck in. Vice City is now the metropolitan anchor of a full state of Leonida, not the standalone level the original was; the supporting cast steps forward; the Bonnie & Clyde framing with Jason matures into something more layered than the heist-romance read everyone walked away from Trailer 1 with. Most studios trailer-spam to maintain hype between announcement and launch. Rockstar trusts their material enough to leave seventeen months between drops — and still let the date hold. Trailer 1 was the announcement. Trailer 2 is the campaign. The November 2026 card hasn’t moved since they put it up; that, more than anything Rockstar showed in the trailer itself, is the confidence statement.
