Vercel Web Analytics measures aggregate pageviews, referrers and basic visit context. Speed Insights measures real-user performance signals such as loading speed, layout stability and interaction responsiveness. Vercel states that Web Analytics is cookie-free and anonymizes visitor data.

Links used for Six Star Ledger's own distribution may include fixed UTM source, medium, campaign and content labels. Those labels identify the publication channel and content package so aggregate visits can be compared. They are selected from a controlled taxonomy and contain no name, email address, account identifier, user-entered text or other personal information.

On Ownership & Setup Desk pages, selected links to official PlayStation, Xbox and Rockstar sources send one custom event. That event contains exactly two controlled labels: the destination name and its placement on the page. It does not contain the clicked URL, query string, page copy, email address, account identifier or any user-entered text.

No advertising network is loaded. We do not build user profiles, combine events across services, sell analytics data or use the measurements for personalised advertising.

The site is hosted by Vercel, which records standard request-level logs (IP address, request path, timestamp, user agent) for operational purposes — debugging, abuse mitigation, capacity planning. These logs are short-lived, controlled by Vercel’s infrastructure, and not used by us for any analysis or marketing. Their retention is governed by Vercel’s own privacy terms.

Email sent to the editorial desk (see the Contact page) is read and handled by a single editor. Your email and its contents are not shared with any third party, not added to any mailing list, and not used for any purpose beyond replying to you.

If you ask for a reply with anonymity preserved, that’s honoured. If you withdraw consent and ask for your message to be deleted, it’s deleted on request.

The current analytics configuration does not set cookies. You can read Vercel’s current Web Analytics privacy documentation. If this site ever adds cookies, advertising, persistent user profiles or new custom-event fields, this page will be updated in writing before that change ships.

That commitment is binding. Verification visible as architecture applies to this page as much as to any other.

The dispatches newsletter is handled by Beehiiv. The signup button on Six Star Ledger links out to Beehiiv's hosted subscribe page — we do not collect or process your email address ourselves. Whatever you enter on the Beehiiv page goes directly to Beehiiv, whose own privacy terms apply. Beehiiv sends a confirmation email; you are not added to the list until you click the link in that email. We never share, sell, or syndicate the subscriber list to any third party. Unsubscribing is one click in the footer of every email we send.
