Privacy

This site uses no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking. It collects no personal data of any kind. We don't need to.

What we collect right now

Nothing. Six Star Ledger is a static publication. The site serves pages, the pages contain text and citations, and that is the whole transaction.

No cookies are set. No analytics scripts run. No fingerprinting is performed. No advertising networks are loaded. No third-party beacons fire. Your visit is invisible to us beyond the standard web-server logs that any site receives.

Server-level logs

The site is hosted by Vercel, which records standard request-level logs (IP address, request path, timestamp, user agent) for operational purposes — debugging, abuse mitigation, capacity planning. These logs are short-lived, controlled by Vercel’s infrastructure, and not used by us for any analysis or marketing. Their retention is governed by Vercel’s own privacy terms.

If you email us

Email sent to the editorial desk (see the Contact page) is read and handled by a single editor. Your email and its contents are not shared with any third party, not added to any mailing list, and not used for any purpose beyond replying to you.

If you ask for a reply with anonymity preserved, that’s honoured. If you withdraw consent and ask for your message to be deleted, it’s deleted on request.

When this changes

At some point in the future, we plan to add privacy-respecting analytics — specifically Plausible, which uses no cookies and collects no personal data. When that ships, this page is updated first, in writing, before any tracking code lands on the site. You will see the change here before you see the change in the site.

That commitment is binding. Verification visible as architecture applies to this page as much as to any other.

Newsletter

The newsletter is in setup — not yet live. When it ships, sign-ups will be handled by Beehiiv, whose own privacy terms will apply to subscribers. We will never share, sell, or syndicate the subscriber list to any third party. Subscribing will be optional and unsubscribing will be one click.
