Corrections policy

When we publish something incorrect, we correct it on the page where it appears and log the correction here. Each record is timestamped and links to the corrected page. Material dated analysis is preserved with a clear outcome note when its original context matters.

  1. 13 August 2026 Trailer 3 watch page, Trailer 3 timing question, Rockstar pattern dispatch

Corrected three pages that stated Rockstar had announced no date for the next GTA VI reveal. Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on its Newswire, premiering 27 August 2026 on Netflix at 3pm ET and free on the Rockstar Games YouTube channel and rockstargames.com at 9pm ET. The watch-page title and description, the open question at /unknowns/trailer-3-timing, and the dated 18 May dispatch all carried the superseded statement. The dispatch analysis was initially preserved in place with an outcome note at the top; later the same day, a site-wide consolidation merged that dispatch into the failed-leak-anatomy dispatch — its URL now redirects there, and the pattern record survives as a dated, condensed section carrying the same update note and primary sources. A decayed “185 days” headline was also removed. We have not labelled the presentation “Trailer 3”: Rockstar has not used trailer numbering for it, and we are not applying that label on its behalf.

Rockstar published the announcement roughly a week before this correction and our pages continued to assert the opposite. A publication that grades other people’s claims has to hold its own to the same standard, so the error is logged here in full rather than quietly overwritten. The gap was found by an audit of the site’s own claims against first-party sources; that check is now something we run rather than something we assumed.

  2. 26 July 2026 Trailer 3 timing records

Updated the open question and related dispatch guidance to state that the historical late-June-to-mid-July window passed without Trailer 3. No replacement window is being inferred.

The earlier pattern comparison remained visible after its forecast window expired. The dated analysis is preserved with a clear outcome note, while current guidance now waits for a first-party Rockstar announcement.

  3. 26 July 2026 GTA VI release-date evidence

Removed an inaccurate chronology that implied the 19 November 2026 date was already in place when Trailer 2 was released. Rebuilt the current verdict around Rockstar’s live release date, Take-Two’s schedule, paid pre-orders, and the 12 November preload date.

Trailer 2 preceded the November 2026 date announcement. The previous wording collapsed separate events and could mislead readers about the sequence. The verdict remains Plausible at confidence 4 of 5.
