OWNERSHIP DESK · PLATFORM DECISION
Choose the console. Refuse the invented benchmark.
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are confirmed. A fair performance comparison is not. This guide records what each official store actually says, then leaves resolution, frame rate, storage and model-to-model differences open until comparable evidence exists.

DECISION RULES
The shortest honest answer for each buyer.
- You own only one supported console
- The official record gives no reason to switch platforms. Both stores carry the same two editions and match on list price within Australia and the United States.
- You own both supported console families
- Wait if performance is the deciding factor. Rockstar and the platform stores have not published comparable resolution, frame-rate, storage or load-time specifications.
- You want a disc copy
- Do not treat the physical box as a disc edition. Rockstar states that it contains a download code and no disc.
- You are waiting for PC
- No PC edition or date has been announced. The launch listings cover PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only.
OPEN RECORD
“PS5 Pro Enhanced” is a label, not a benchmark.
The PlayStation listing confirms the label. It does not explain the resolution, frame rate or visual settings behind it. Xbox’s “Optimized for Series X|S” label is similarly non-comparative. Treat performance rankings as unsupported until Rockstar or both platform holders publish matching specifications.
