Mount Kalaga is Leonida's northern national landmark, headlined by Rockstar as "Wild, Wild Country" on the official GTA VI hub and pitched as offering "room to breathe on the state's northern fringes." Rockstar's region copy locates Mount Kalaga on Leonida's northern border and advertises it as offering "prime hunting, fishing, and off-road trails," with the lush surrounding backwoods populated — per the same source — by "hillbilly mystics and paranoid radicals" who "live far from the prying eyes of the government." First named in Trailer 2 wilderness imagery (May 2025) and described in detail on the GTA VI hub. No standalone Rockstar bio places any character in Mount Kalaga; the cast Rockstar names for the region's hub section is, at this stage, none — the hillbilly mystics and paranoid radicals of the body copy are anonymous residents. The depicted figures on the hub are also unnamed: four riders on dirt bikes through mud with an ATV jumping behind them; two armed figures abreast in the woods, each carrying a rifle; a life-vested kayaker paddling on a waterway crossed by a bridge. Rockstar's wildlife AI surfaces too — a cougar stalking a herd of deer at a streamside drink. Atmospheric establishing shots round out the section: a news helicopter overflying a tree-filled ridge, and a winding road threading between two steep, greenery-topped hills. Whether dirt bikes, ATVs, kayaks, rifles, hunting, and predator-prey wildlife are player-controllable gameplay systems — or whether the armed pair and the overflying news chopper are tied to specific story missions — are separate questions from what the imagery confirms. What Rockstar has not stated: there are zero named towns, ranger stations, settlements, or sub-areas within Mount Kalaga on any first-party source — the national landmark reads in hub copy as one undifferentiated wilderness. Whether hunting, fishing, off-road riding, kayaking, and wildlife AI are player-controllable gameplay systems anchored here; whether the news-helicopter overflight and rifle-pair imagery are story-mission setups or marketing-only set dressing; whether any of the depicted residents (the mystics, the radicals, the riflemen, the riders) become named characters with bios — all open.
